- The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about March 25, 2004. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. Contractor shall conduct Phase III of a multiphase research project for National Park Service Southern Revolutionary War Parks (Cowpens National Battlefield, Fort Moultrie unit of Fort Sumter National Monument, Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Kings Mountain National Military Park, Moores Creek National Battlefield, and Ninety Six National Historic Site). This multiphase research project will give the parks a deeper insight into the history of and participants in the American Revolution and allow the parks to better interpret them to the public. Phase III will produce a guide to primary sources located in the United States that bear upon the southern campaigns of the American Revolution. The researcher selected for Phase III will investigate the holdings of repositories of Revolutionary War primary source material in the United States. Investigation of secondary sources should be done only to the extent necessary to guide the researcher to locations of primary sources. Investigations will be made in person where practicable and cost-effective, or by phone or electronic media if an in-person visit is not possible. This will be a negotiated firm fixed price contract. The technical proposal will be evaluated on technical evaluation criteria which will be contained in the solicitation. The NAICS code for this project is 54199. The contract duration will be approximately 13 months. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation.
