Description
Notice is hereby provided of the intent to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the acquisition of a Department of Defense (DoD) Wide Enterprise License Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Compliance Tool. This is a capability that will assist in the development and deployment of an automated IAVM tool that will provide network administrators and security personnel a mechanism for verifying application or non-application of Department of Defense (DoD) Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT) Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletins (IAVB) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Technical Advisories (IAVTAs) security patches, hereafter referred to as "Information Assurance (IA) Vulnerabilities". This tool will be applied Enterprise-wide across the DoD (which includes both the National Guard and Reserves) and the Coast Guard hereafter referred to as "The ENTERPRISE". All "ENTERPRISE" owned and leased comuters, personal electronic devices and networks are covered under this agreement , regardless of the persons operating the computer systems. This capability should fully integrate IA Vulnerability identification, verification and reporting while providing a cost effective training method to employ the technology. Emphasis should include the capability to employ these tools in all operating environments, such as specified in the Common Operating Environment (COE). The RFQ will require that all quotes received in response to the RFQ must be for a product that is contained on an existing GSA schedule. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) plans to issue the RFQ on or about 10 March 2004. Quotes will be due 5 working days after issuance of the RFQ. Companies who can provide this tool must indicate their interest by e-mail within 1 business day of this advertisement. Quotations received in response to this notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis is not an RFQ. E-mail address is kellera@scott.disa.mil. Estimated date of award is 29 March 2004. Any award made for this tool will be a single award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) issued against an existing GSA Schedule. NAICS 519190.
