ISSUE DATE: March 9, 2004 POSTED DATE: March 9, 2004 TITLE: Notice of Intent to Procure Sole Source SOL: RFP10N3-109-042 DUE: 3/24/04 NAICS: 811219 Size Std: $6.0M POP STATE: Not specified AGENCY: Attn: Department of Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Medical Center POC: Greg Vogt DESCRIPTION: This is a notice of intent of the NY Harbor VA MedicalCenter, 423 East 23rd St., NY,NY to negotiate sole source with Siemens Medical Systems, located at 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1900, NY, NY 10121. Siemens shall provide preventative maintenance services for Simens Coroskp Equipment in accordance with all contract terms and conditions. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302 (6.302-2,(ii) (A)) And FAR Part 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the equipment available from one source. One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. NAICS code is 81121, size standard is $6.0 million. Solicitation packages are not available and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is for information only and may represent the only official notice of such solicitation. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
