- Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Spectral Dynamics, Inc. San Jose, CA 95133. This contract will be for the following six items pert aining to the upgrade of existing Digital Vibration Control Systems. Line Item 0001, Digital Vibration Control System (DVCS) used for simulation of narrowband random on broadband random and sinusoidal vibration, gunfire, and transient dynamic environments. Line Item 0002, 1-YEAR PURCHASE OPTION, Quantity 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: Sinusoidal Vibration Control. Line Item 0003, 1-YEAR PURCHASE OPTION, Quantity 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: Shock Control. Line Item 0004, 1-YEAR PURCHASE OPTION , Quantity 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: Gunfire Control. Line Item 0005, 1-YEAR PURCHASE OPTION, Quantity 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: Waveform Replication. Line Item 0006, 1-YEAR PURCHASE OPTION, Quantity 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Descriptio n: Digital Vibration Control System (System 2 Upgrade). These are commercial off the shelf items that are for a system upgrade that is compatible with form, fit, and function of existing Spectral Dynamics DVCS currently in use at USAYPG. Award of this requ irement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide this product, then you must respond by 18 March 2004, 3:00 PM MST. Email your response to Michael McDaniel at Michael.McDaniel@yuma.army.mil The response mu st clearly demonstrate that your firm possesses the experience and capability to provide the required equipment and historical experience. There are no substitutions for meeting requirements of the above listed items and all specifications must be met. A ny firm that can meet the requirements of the above items must also provide a trade-in allowance for existing Spectral Dynamics Model 2550A DVCS and Model 2550B DVCS. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of g uarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed items.
