- Description
- The US Department of Housing and Urban Development intends to extend an existing GSA Schedule Task Order on a sole source basis with the incumbent contractor, Ernst & Young, 1225 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20035, for Transaction Advisor Services for the FHA Asset Sales Office Accelerated Claim Disposition Program. The new requirement is currently being re-competed under R-2004-HR-00086 under the Financial and Business Solutions GSA Schedule #520. The services procured requires the contractor to facilitate the implementation of the Program, analyze the pipeline of defaulted assets, and sort assets into appropriate resolution vehicles. The contractor shall also perform transition activities to the new contractor for this requirement. Competition of the required services at this time would put the program at risk and result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The sole source award will be procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The proposed contract type is a GSA Schedule Task Order hybrid firm fixed price/time and materials. The period of performance will be six months, which includes three months of continued services and 3 months of transition to the new contractor for this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
