- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to provide initial point-of-contact to interagency field units in the NW for all matters related to wildland fire intelligence. The provider will (1) prepare and update the 2004 SOP (Std. Operating Plan) for the Intelligence Section, (2) provide staffing support for 7 day coverage, including 12 hour shifts during portions of fire season; (3) provide initial point-of-contact for field units on intelligence computer applications including: SIT Report, Auto209, FireFamily Plus, and KCFAST; (4) gather, consolidate, integrate disseminate and validate/verify current, predicted wildland fire intelligence information on a regional, interagency level; (5) utilize policy guidance and direction contained in Manuals, Handbooks, and Guides; and (6) provide briefings to Center staff, media, and visitors. Staff support includes gathering wildland fire situation information, summarizing situational information into reports, and briefings; providing oversight of intelligence and/or weather data quality and compiling this into monthly and end-of-season reports.
