- UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis from potential vendors who can manufacture and supply various kinds of wood finishes. This will be completed under a Request for Proposal, requirement type of solicitation. Finishes are to be delivered FOB Destination. The delivery locations are FCI Florence, CO, FCI Allenwood, PA and FCI Sheridan, OR. A site visits with each FOB destination factory is required. The Solicitation Number assigned for this acquisition is FN1167-03. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate proposals on an all or none basis. Only one award will be made. The line items, description, the estimated quantities and the unit of issue will be identified in the solicitation package. Offerors must submit fully finished stain wood samples for each finish color. The detail sample requirements will be discussed at the conference and cited in the solicitation. The time for receipt of proposals is 14:00 P.M. (Eastern Standard Time), on September 24, 2003. The delivery performance period is two base years with three, one year optional periods. The first initial delivery order is for 45 days. All other deliveries thereafter are 14 days after receipt of each delivery order. Vendors may federal express, mailed, or a hand-carried proposal to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., (FPI), Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20534, Attn: Bid Custodian. A facsimile proposal can be faxed to (202)305-7337. All proposals must reference the solicitation number and due date for receipt of proposals. Offeror must hold unit prices firm in its offer for 90 calendar days from date specified for receipt. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 2851 and the small business size standard is 500. The NACIS code is 32551. All interested potential suppliers must attend UNICOR, FPI pre-proposal conference on August 19 and 20, 2003 @ 9:00 A.M. It is requested that all interested potential vendors provide the names of all attendees who will attend this conference by August 8, 2003. Up to three persons may attend the conference. The required information may be faxed to Darlene Robinson at (202)353-7794 or an email drobins@central.unicor.gov A detail letter will be sent to all interest vendors of the pre-proposal conference. The finishes’ solicitation will be handed out at the pre-proposal conference. The Identification Number-- Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number must be cited in your letter. Any Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses or forms cited in the solicitation may be obtained from General Services Administration's Internet web page (http://www.arnet.gov./far/).
