- The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) will conduct a one-day industry forum in Aurora, CO. Interested industry representatives are invited to participate in an Industry Forum to be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 starting at 8:30 a.m., MST at the Doubletree Hotel Denver Southeast, 13696 E. Iliff Place, Aurora, CO 80014-1319 (reservations: 1-800-222-8733). This is a combined Request for Information and Industry Forum Announcement for the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP). The following information is provided for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. This TDP Request for Information (RFI) is requesting information and feedback from industry on the planned acquisition approach that TMA plans to use for the follow-on TDP. TMA would like to discuss the TDP acquisition approach and the answers to the questions located on the website at http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations during the Industry Forum. These questions are intended for prospective prime contractors and potential team members for the planned competitive TDP procurement. TDP is planned to cover eligible family members of the Uniformed Services active duty, Selected Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) members, and their eligible family members. Active duty service members, former spouses, parents, in-laws, disabled veterans, foreign personnel, and retirees and their families are not eligible for the TDP. United Concordia Companies Inc. is currently performing the services under contract MDA906-00-D-0002. This procurement is expected to be a full and open competition. The planned procurement will result in the award of one contract to accomplish the tasks and objectives described in the Draft Requirements located on our TMA website http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations - The Government would like to obtain answers to the questions prior to the Industry Forum. Answers to the questions must be submitted to TDP.Solicitation@tma.osd.mil no later than close of business on March 15, 2004. Your written responses should not exceed the equivalent of ten (10) single sided 8 ? by 11 inch pages. Interested parties are required to register in advance for the industry forum. If you wish to participate in the Industry Forum, please provide a list of attendees and organizational affiliation. To register for the forum please send your registration information by e-mail to TDP.Solicitation@tma.osd.mil. NOTE: The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs associated with this Industry Forum or submitting a response to this notice or the RFI. Participation in the Industry Forum and answers to the questions are voluntary. Conducting the Industry Forum and/or the information presented herein will not obligate the Government in any manner. Any procurement action for Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity will be the subject of a separate, future announcement.
