Description
NASA/DFRC has a requirement for Plasma System which includes one (1) PG-140 plasma gun, one (1) CP-620 control console, one (1) PS-2000 KW power supply, one (1) IG-120 12" cable kit, one (1) WCS water control system, one (1) 900990 water hose, three (3) 842083175 nozzle, two (2) 841083720 cathode, one (1) 883083112 gas injector, three (3) 882083601 O-ring kit, one (1) 902700-12 operator safety kit, and one (1) 842083009 handle for PG-140. NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from Bay State Surface Technologies, Inc., 12 Union Street, Suite 31, Westborough, Massachusettes 01581.Upgrading our current system to a Bay State 80KW system would meet the requirements of the new spray materials and still allow us to use past parameters developed for more conventional nickel or cobalt base metallic. Staying with the Bay State system allow us to keep all the spraying experience and parameters gained in the last 15 years and will also meet our current needs. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on ______3/18/04___________. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
