- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center,Puget Sound is soliciting for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Grove Worldwide for boom inspection and repair services for Grove mobile cranes in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The contractor shall provide design knowledge, experience and expertise to perform inspection and repair services for Grove mobile cranes. Grove Worldwide is the OEM for replacement parts; thus, due to compatibility issues, PSNS Naval Shipyard must procure the replacement parts and maintenance services from subject contractor. Place of performance is contractor?s facility. Period of performance will extend from the date of award to one year thereafter. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 12 March 2004 with a closing date of 22 March 2004. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 16 days from this announcement. The proposed contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposed contract to be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.5. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
