Description
The United States Property and Fiscal Office for New York (USP&FO-NY) is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction projec t is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The abblicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 236220 and the small business size standard is $28,500,000.00. The acquisition is for the repair and rehabilitation of an existing pre-engineered metal Air National Guard aircraft hanger building consisting of 8 hanger pods and a central administrative core (46,136 SF). Work at the existing building includes renovation of all floor areas, siding and hanger door replac ement, insulation upgrades, roof repair, and new electrical and HVAC systems. In simple terms, other that the structure systems and roof, the building will be completely rehabilitated. A new (2036 SF) weapons shop will be added along with overhead cranes in the repair shops. The buildings fire protection/detection systems, and plumbing system will be modified. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordination between all trades. At the present time the acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, IAW with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail or facsimile to LTC Kenneth D.
