- THIS REQUEST FOR QUOTES WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY. NO HARCOPIES WILL DISTRIBUTED BY MAIL, FAX OR EMAIL. QUOTES ARE DUE NOT LATER THAN 2:00 PM CENTRAL TIME ON April 6, 2004. This requirement is for the design and installation of a portable work platform. The platform shall be constructed of steel or aluminum materials, have a design load of 50 pounds per square foot, solid flooring (no perforations or gaps), easily assembled and disassembled withoug the use of special tools, assembly shall not include use of loose fasteners, each piece of platform and its components shall be mn portable with a weight not to exceed 50 pounds, each piece shall be small enough to be carried up a six foot ladder and fit through a 29-3/4 inch diameter man way. Platform must be capable of being assembled by a crew of four men in no more than 10 hours. This platform shall be used in the bell mouth section of a 16 foot transonic wind tunnel located at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.
