- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to award contracts for the provision of Unarmed Guard Service for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institutions located in Jesup, Georgia; Edgefield, South Carolina; and Estill, South Carolina; requiring hospitalization in the surrounding South Carolina and Georgia counties. While a single award is preferred, multiple awards may be made by the institution, if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are as follows: FCI Jesup; base year-1200 man-hours, option year 1-1200 man-hours, option year 2-1200 man-hours, option year 3-1200 man-hours, option year 4-1200 man-hours; FCI Edgefield; base year-1200 man-hours, option year 1-1300 man-hours, option year 2-1400 man-hours, option year 3-1500 man-hours, option year 4-1600 man-hours; FCI Estill; base year-1224 man-hours, option year 1-1224 man-hours, option year 2-1224 man-hours, option year 3-1224 man-hours, option year 4-1224 man-hours. Requests for service are subject to being initiated any time day or night. The contractor shall be licensed to perform unarmed guard services in South Carolina and Georgia, and provide coverage within two hours of notification. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 7, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is March 31, 2004. The North American Industry Classification code for this solicitation is 561612.
