- Description
- The United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only South Carolina Educational TV (SCETV), 1101 George Rodgers Rd., Columbia, SC 29201 on a sole source basis for the installation and maintenance of NWS VHF equipment located on SECTV owned towers and buildings in the state of South Carolina. Performance shall begin April 1, 2004 and be completed by September 30, 2004. The FSC for this is 4832 and NAICS code is 515111 and the small business size standard is $6.0 million. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is sole within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required services. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (Fed Biz Opps) site at www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile or written requests will be accepted. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The solicitation will be issued as a commercial item acquisition on or about March 5, 2004.
