- 1. The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, Arizona, is soliciting quotes (RFQ) for the supply and bulk delivery, FOB Destination, of a native seed mix, certified noxious weed free. Delivery is to San Manuel Airport (E77), San Manuel, Arizona, approximately 45 miles from Tucson, Arizona, north via AZ Highway 77. 2. Quotes are to be submitted to Coronado National Forest, Room 5F, 300 W. Congress, Tucson, AZ 85701 or faxed to Leah Arp-Romero at (520) 670-4532 by 2:00 P.M. MST, March 9, 2004. 3. Note: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in [FAR] Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 4. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-19. 5. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 424910 and the size standard is 500 employees. 7. Required Delivery: March 13, 2004, 6:00 A.M. MST. 8. Schedule of Supplies and Services: Supply and deliver in bulk form by hopper trailer truck a seed mix composed of the following four species at a composition of 25% each: Green Spangletop (Leptochloa dubia), Rothrock Grama (Bouteloua rothrockii), Mountain brome (Bromus marginatus), and Sideoats grama (Bouteloua curtipendula). Application density shall be 40 seeds per square foot over 5,159 acres total. At 8.13 pls pounds per acre, the total pure live seed weight is approximately 41,923 pounds. Quoter who receives award for this procurement must provide certifications that state pure live seed percentages and noxious weed free status of seed lots within 24 hours of notification of award. Upon arrival, hopper trucks are required to remain at airport site for unloading of seed mix to fixed-wing aircraft for a duration of 8 to 10 hours. 8. Quotes must include a completed copy of [FAR] 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items. [FAR] 52.212-2 Evaluation, Commercial Items is applicable with the following factors used to evaluate quotes: Price, technical conformity to specifications, and ability to meet delivery schedule. 10.
