- REPAIR OR REPLACE F118-100 PYROMETERS, OC-ALC/LPKPA TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, For additional information contact Billie Kindschuh/LPKPA/(405) 734-8094. This is a Request For Information (RFI) synopsis for planning purposes only. No solicitation will be issued at this time, however, solicitation number FA8104-04-R-0165 has been assigned for synopsis purposes. Goodrich is requested to respond as the source. Other sources choosing to respond will be considered. This Request For Information is to determine the rough order of magnitude to repair and/or replace F118-100 Pyrometers that are not reparable with new Pyrometers. Request rough order of magnitude pricing and delivery schedule for repair of F118-100 Pyrometers and for purchase of new F118-100 Pyrometers. Response is request by 26 MARCH 2004. Contractor shall provide all labor other parts/materials and equipment to accomplish this effort except as identified in this RFI. Approved source is Goodrich. Item 0001: NOUN: F118-100 Pyrometer Repair Input P/N: 1344M74P0 Assembly IAW TO 5E6-3-117-3. Output P/N: 1960M23P08 Configuration. Repair of these Pyrometers will require the new grommet and Op amp to be installed to bring the asset to the P08 configuration. GROMMET AND OP AMP WILL BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR. Quantity is unknown at this time. Item 0002: NOUN: F118-100 Pyrometer Repair Input P/N: 1960M40P08 with new grommet and op amp installed. As part of the repair and/or manufacture of new Pyrometer assembly, the Government will provide as GFM a KIT (NSN: 2840-KO-21-7807AJU P/N: FH189-599). This KIT will include the following: NOUN: Packing Preformed P/N: 00704-0826-0001; NOUN: Screw, Socket Head P/N: NAS1352C3H6; NOUN: Screw Cap P/N: NAS1352C04H6; NOUN: Packing Preformed P/N: M8324/1-906; NOUN: Gasket Connector P/N: 00704-0711-0001; NOUN: Pad Low Compression Set P/N: 00704-0694-0001; NOUN: Screw, Socket Head P/N: NAS1352C06LL4; NOUN: Washer Flat P/N: NAS620C6L; NOUN: Plate Identification P/N: 00704-0712-0001; NOUN: Screw, Socket Head P/N: NAS1352C04H4. Applicable to: F118-100 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. Delivery: Provide Best Delivery Schedule. Description: TF33 fan blades are manufactured out of AMS 4928 Titanium alloy. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001 and 0002. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that shall be considered. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the Request For Information. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this Request For Information as a solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
