- Description
- The USDA Forest Service intends to award a sole source contract, per FAR 6.302, with Romtec Utilities, Inc. of Roseburg, Oregon, for the supply, delivery, and assistance with the installation of a pre-engineered wastewater lift station, including pre-cast wet well with self-cleaning basin, top slab with safety hatch, pre-assembled valves, and portable davit crane for the new InterAgency Visitor Center in Lone Pine, California. Some subcomponents within the lift station, including the sewage pumps with compatible control panel, are name brand items, which are manufactured by Flygt Corporation, of Trumbull, CT. ******** Romtec Utilities Inc pre-engineered wastewater lift stations are designed to fully utilize the features of Flygt pumps. The sewage pumps used throughout the forest are manufactured by the Flygt Corporation which allows the ability to interchange parts and pumps throughout the forest during an emergency *************** Interested firms must submit a description of their capabilities in sufficient detail to substantiate the ability of their firm to meet the requirements described above. Submissions should be sent to Kathryn M. Griffin, Contracting Officer, at the contracting office address listed above. This notice is not a request for quotes and no solicitation is available. Requests for a solicitation document will not be considered an affirmative response. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days after publication of this notice to the effect that a comparable qualified source is available, a sole-source award will be negotiated with Romtec Utilities, Inc.
