- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Des Moines, Iowa, is seeking assistance from private sector individuals, firms and entities to provide design assistance for Soap Creek Watershed, Site 26-55. Site 26-55 is an earthfill dam located in Davis County approximately 4 miles south and 5 miles east of Blakesburg, Iowa. The site is located on a county road. The completed structure will serve as a flood control dam with a county road over the top of the structure. The services will consist of providing design analysis, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, quantity calculations, and a performance time estimate. The design analysis will include but not be limited to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis; slope stability, seepage, and settlement analysis; and structural design analysis. The design will be required to meet all applicable NRCS design criteria and standards as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Successful applicants will be required to be a licensed professional engineer in the State of Iowa. This is not a request for proposals. A separate request for submission of SF 254’s and SF 255’s will be advertised at a later date.
