Description
This is notification to provide Architectural and Engineering Services for the Colorado Hill Watershed Project-Zaca Mine Removal Engineering Design. Responses to the announcement will be considered for selection. Firms desiring consideration shall submit completed SF-254’s and SF-255’s for this project no later than December 15, 2003. Project is located at the Zaca Mine, located along California Highway 89, 1.5 miles east of Highway 4 or about 6 miles southeast of Markleeville, California. Estimated Start Date is June 2004 with 90 calendar days for completion. Selection Criteria—Firms responding will be evaluated on the following selection criteria: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; key personnel have experience designing dosing tank infiltration system and infiltration basins for acid mine drainage; key personnel have experience designing mine tailings capping and stabilization project, key personnel have experience developing best management practices that may involve construction in a wetland into designs that are subject to review by a California Water Quality Control Board; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time: (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographic area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. The contract for Architectural and Engineering Services will be negotiated. A pre-proposal tour will be held 12/2/03 (weather permitting). Meet at the intersection of Highways 89 and 4, about 5 miles southeast of Markleeville, CA. Verify tour with Steven Brooks at 775-884-8152. The tour will not be held if there is more than 6 inches snow on the site. CD’s containing CERCLA Engineering Design/Cost Analysis reports for the subject mines are available from Steven Brooks by calling 775-882-2766. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
