- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Panama City FL intends to award a purchase order for the procurement of valves, tailpieces, reducer tailpieces, monel, union nuts, and threaded pieces; all CPV part numbers or equal. The parts are to be used on the charging panel of the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) system. The SCBA is a Type C pressure-demand respirator system with an emergency air supply of 15 minutes. All items must be accompanied with the appropriate certification documentation. The equipment will be used by U.S. damage control personnel and form a highly specialized damage control system. Only those articles that have been successfully tested are qualified. The objective of certification is to verify that the damage control system provides maximum levels of safety throughout the specified operating range and reasonable assurance that an accident will not occur to damage control personnel. Therefore, only those offerors who can provide the necessary certification documentation are eligible to provide these critical damage control support items. Applicable NAICS code is 332721.
