The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to: Biotage Personal Inc, 1290C Reamwood Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 333298. The following items will be procured: CLIN 0001, One (1) each, Emrys Optimizer Exp Microwave Chemical Synthesis Reactor System p/n: 35485. To include the following options. Microwave chemical synthesis reactor unit; stand-alone unit-- equipped with built in computer keyboard, mouse and monitor. Closed cavity reactor able to withstand an 800 bar overpressure safety margin. Automatic system shutdown capability when excess pressure temperature climbs rate occurs. External release valve for safe excess pressure release. Homogeneous microwave field. Unit permits direct readout of real-time to also include delivery-calibration and training by trained service engineers, and 1-year warranty-- on site to include phone consultation, parts labor, and on-site field service response time less than 5 days or 120 hours. Contractor to notify government 60 days prior to expiration of first year warranty, with second-year option for warranty extension pricing identical to base year. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the publication due date of this notice. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
