- CONGRESSMAN TOM DAVIS’ ACCESS TO PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE 2004 will be held on March 22, 2004.Congressman Tom Davis, in cooperation with the U.S. General Services Administration, National Capital Region and George Mason University Procurement Technical Assistance Program at the Mason Enterprise Center, will sponsor a federal procurement conference at the McLean Hilton in McLean, VA on March 22, 2004 from 8:30AM to 3:00PM. Congressman Davis, Chairman of the Committee on Government Reform will be the luncheon speaker. Representatives from the GSA, DOD, and other agencies will discuss the latest developments in procurement methodology of importance to small and large businesses. Participants can choose from six topics covering significant issues on government contracting, including: Track A GSA Federal Supply Schedules – How to get one and then what? Successful Teaming Arrangements and Subcontracting Security Clearances in Government Contracting Track B Budgeting and Planning for IT Procurement Opportunities Performance Based Contracting Electronic Commerce Perspectives With over 30 Exhibitors/Counselors from government agencies and numerous Washington Area prime contractors, businesses will have an opportunity to learn invaluable information on the specifics of contracting with these organizations. There is no charge for attending this conference, however registration, prior to 3:00 PM EST March 15, 2004, is required in order to ensure proper seating for the seminars and lunch.
