Description
This synopsis is issued for comments on the draft Request for Proposal only. This requirement is pursuant to the revised OMB A-76 circular dated 29 May 2003 for the Personnel Service Center (PSC) formerly known as Human Resources Services and Information Center (HRSIC) Travel (TVL) Branch in Topeka, KS. The requirement for this acquisition is to provide all travel related services and support to active duty service members, reserve components, civilian work force, their families and groups within PSC and throughout the Coast Guard. One of the primary functions is to process all travel claims for Team Coast Guard. Currently TVL supports a customer base that consists approximately of 38,000 active duty members, 22,000 reserves, 32,000 auxiliary and over 75,000 travelers on official government business. On a yearly basis, TVL processes over 150,000 travel claims. A copy of the RFP can be obtained from FedBizOpps following this listing. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to download their own copy of the draft RFP. Industry comments will be fully considered in preparation for the final RFP. The USCG will not provide individual responses, and requests that no general telephone or email inquiries be made to the Contracting Officer or any USCG employee. Comments on the draft RFP shall be submitted no later than July 10, 2003, 1:00 p.m. All responses must be submitted electronically to Ms. Iris Hall, e-mail Ihall@comdt.uscg.mil or Ms. Faye Jones, fjones@comdt.uscg.mil. The Pre-proposal Conference and site visit will be held at the Personnel Service Center, 444 SE Quincy St, Topeka, KS, on Wednesday, July 15, 2003, 9:00 a.m. The conference will follow the site visit. To arrange attendance at the conference, please email Mrs. Iris Hall at ihall@comdt.uscg.mil and identify the names of the attendees. Due to space constraints each company will be allowed 2 attendees. The cut-off for registration is COB July 10, 2003. The purpose of the conference is to provide a tour of the PSC Travel Branch, explain and provide clarity to the Agency’s expectation in performance, and respond to Request for Clarifications from prospective offerors. This request for comment is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted or for any costs associated with providing this information.
