- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to negotiate with Logistics Health, Inc., LaCrosse, WI on a sole source basis for the following services: to implement investigational protocols to provide treatment for DOD personnel or thei r family members following suspected, confirmed, or endemic exposure to biological agents to include but not limited to B. anthracis spores, smallpox or Leishmania. The contractor shall also be prepared to immediately deploy anywhere within the Continental US and Hawaii, overseas to operational areas, and overseas to garrison areas (such as Germany, Italy, Turkey, Japan or Korea) in order to administer post-exposure prophylaxis or treatment with drugs and vaccine/antibiotics under an investigational new dru g (IND) protocol. The period of performance is anticipated to be one base year with four one-year options. Intend to award an IDIQ contract with task orders written. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accorda nce with FAR 6.302-5(b)(6), Authorized or Required by Statue, Sole Source awards under the HUBZONE Act of 1997. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
