- Description
- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency has a requirement for Engineering Analysis and Support services for the Joint Service Installation Pilot Project and the development and execution of follow-on technology transition projects. Specifically, the contractor will perform capability assessments, exercise and concepts of operations (CONOPS) development assistance and on-site integration. Finally, the contractor will support the JSIPP development and execution, which will involve the planning and conduct of Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATD), Advanced Concept and Technology Demonstrations (ACTD), exercises and technology transition planning and coordination. This requirement is a continuation of an effort started in September 2002 that was procured by the Naval Surface Warfare Command, Indian Head. Continuation of the project is of vital importance and progress can-not be halted to allow an organization not familiar with the project to gain the knowledge necessary to successfully perform. To satisfy the current requirement, DTRA intends to issue a sole source contract to the Defense Group, Incorporated (DGI), with performance to begin on or about 15 April 2004. DGI has provided JSIPP support to DTRA since the program's inception and has unique knowledge necessary to ensure continuous operations through completion, which is anticipated in 2006. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to satisfy the requirement.
