- Description
- The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide sleeping rooms, meeting space and meals for AmeriCorps VISTA Pre-Service Orientation and AC*VISTA Supervisors Training on April, 13- 16, 2004 for 160 participants. The following will be required: 1. Beginning April 13-16, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. the registration area in the lobby of the facility should have 4 large tables, 2 easels with pad and 1 trashcan. 2. Vendor must have organic banquet service facilities. 3. Dinner (served at 6:30 p.m.) for approximately 160 persons on days 1-3 of training. 20% of all meals are estimated to be kosher or vegetarian. 4. Breakfast (served at 7:00 a.m.) for approximately 160 persons on days 2-4 of training. 5. Lunch (served at 11:45 a.m.) for approximately 160 persons on days 2-4 of training 6. Morning breaks on days 2 -4 (160 people). The morning breaks shall consist of coffee & tea. 7. The afternoon breaks, of coffee, tea, soft drink and light snacks. Afternoon breaks on days 1 -3 (160 people). 8. All meeting space and breakout rooms should free of any obstructions or visual impairments 9. One large meeting room for approximately 160 people (roundtables) days 1-4. 10. Five breakout rooms will be needed to accommodate 4 rounds of 8 in each for days 2-4. All breakout rooms must be free of obstructions and free of excess noise.  Sleeping rooms needed: 65 Doubles: April 13-16, 2004 and 30 Singles: April 13-16, 2004  Audiovisual equipment to consist of:  (1) telephone and 1 trashcan at the registration desk.  (3) easels, pads & markers in each breakout room on days 2-4.  (1) Wireless hand held microphone on days 1-4.s  (3) Monitors and VCR’s.  (5) Overhead Projectors and screens on days 2-4. Federal Regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA, Fire Prevention and Control Guidelines. All proposed prices must be inclusive. For example, audio-visual rentals and the cost of food must include gratuity if applicable. This announcement is for solicitation of proposals for upcoming training event. The solicitation number is PSOGAAPR04 and is issued as a request for a quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 02-05. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this requirement is 721110, Hotels (except casino hotels) Motels and the small business size standard is $5M. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offers, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. This is best value procurement and evaluation of offers will be based on quality, past performance and price. References must be included with your offer. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5 (b) and (c) are included by reference: 52.222-21, 52.222-22, 52.222-23, 52.222-41, 52.225-3, and 52.232-34. Quotations must be submitted in writing, signed by a person authorized to negotiate on behalf of the vender with the Government and sent to the address in this announcement. Responses to this RFQ are due at the above office by COB, January 30, 2004. Only those venders located in Metro Atlanta, GA need to respond.
