Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a requirement to provide the Office of Pesticide Programs Health Effects Division (HED) with technical and administrative support. HED is responsible for the registration and ongoing reregistration of pesticides. HED is charged with evaluating pesticide hazards, through the proposed use of the pesticide, to human heath and the environment. HED's authority is mandated under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996. The purpose of this contract is to provide (1) Product and Residue Chemistry Chapter/Reregistration Eligibility Document Information, (2) Review of Studies Submitted in Response to Phase 4 Data-Call-Ins (DCIs), and Updating of Previously Completed Standards, (3) Registration Support, (4) Database Support, and (5) General Backup Support. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541710, with a size standard of 500 employees. The anticipated contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The basic quantity per period will be 12000 hours with an option to increase the quantity by 8000 hours per period. The Request for Proposals (RFP) should be posted on the Internet on or about March 15th, 2004. Proposals shall be due approximately forty-five (45) days after the RFP issuance date. Please monitor the Internet site for the status regarding this procurement. This procurement will be conducted as a small business set aside.
