- UPDATE: The solicitation materials have now been posted. The modified response date is by Close of Business Tuesday March 16, 2004 for all solicitation and proposal materials. The 1st Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, VA has a requirement for a concessionaire to maintain, provide minimal construction, and operate a Fitness Center Nutrition and Juice Bar. The Fitness Center Nutrition and Juice Bar Services are to be located at two different sites. The Shellbank Fitness Center and the Air Combat Command Fitness Center at Langley AFB, Virginia. Currently sites have already been prepared via basic contruction means and are under current operations that expiring, and minimal contruction requirements are anticipated. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, labor, materials and equipment, tools, cabinetry, supplies, transportation, supervision, delivery and other items and services as required to operate. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 722213 and there is no restriction on business size for the purposes of this solicitation. The performance period will be for a one-year base period with four one (1) year option periods at the Government’s right. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The NAFI Concessionaire Contract Format will be the award format for this requirement. The solicitation, notices and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. If sufficient response warrants it, a Site Visit will be held on 18 February 2004 at 1000 EST at the Shellbank Fitness Center main entrance. All interested parties need to contact Suzanne Blagg at 757-225-2829 or e-mail at Suzanne.Blagg@langley.af.mil with intentions of attending. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE CODE) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration. This is a Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) requirement. No funds will be obligated from the Governmen for use under any award made from a result of this solicitation. Non appropriated funds are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it restrict the governments ultimate approach for this requirement.
