- Description
- A. Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work required to Re-point Stone Masonry (North Capitol Street Elevation) at US Government Printing Office Building # 1, Washington D.C. 20401. 1. Contract Drawing: C-5405, sheet 1 of 1. 2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A. The Project consists of the following work items: 1. Remove the existing masonry mortar per General and Construction notes as listed on the contract drawing and re-point the existing stone masonry with new mortar. Surface limit are to be re-point is as shown on the drawing (approximately 4000 sq. foot). 2. Remove existing expansion joint materials between the side walk and stone masonry and install new expansion joint materials per drawing and specifications (approximate 200 linear foot). WORK SEQUENCE: A. The Work will be conducted in such a manner to provide the least possible interference to the activities of the Government's personnel and to cause no damage to the government property. 1. Dispose the removed material off Government Property at no extra cost to the Government. 2. Furnish and install new re-pointing material and expansion joint material. 3. Wash the work area and sidewalk to remove any dust particles. A site visit is scheduled for March 8, 2004, at 10:00AM. All bidders must attend the walk through of the site and at that time drawing no. C-5405 will be issued. To obtain a copy of the solicitation, download from this site.
