Description

The establishment of a new organization, tentatively called the America India Development Alliance (AIDA), is a key component of USAID/India’s five-year strategy (2003-2007). This is a potentially powerful organizational initiative that will augment the level of human, financial and intellectual capital devoted to India’s development. This will also provide an avenue for US organizations to learn from India’s development experience and promote cross-fertilization of ideas in the development sector between two leading global players. In order to achieve the foregoing result, USAID/India seeks the services of a management consulting firm with a strong Indian subsidiary (or a strong relationship with a quality India consulting firm(s)) to create AIDA and provide initial management support during its early years of operations. It is envisaged that the local sub-contractor in India, under the direction of the prime contractor, would be responsible for several aspects of the work.
