Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention & Control (NCIPS), Division of Violence Prevention (DVP) seeks to utilize the expertise and experience of a nationally-recognized organization to disseminate community organizing/mobilizing expertise regarding the prevention of intimate partner domestic violence to state domestic violence coalitions and local communities in alignment with CDC DELTA Program priority populations and priority sectors. The successful vendor will be expected to disseminate “already developed” community organizing/mobilizing materials and curriculums that address intimate partner domestic violence to state domestic violence coalitions and local communities rather than use this funding to develop such materials and curriculums. Vendor shall be required to travel to local sites in order to disseminate information. The period of performance is for 12 months estimated to begin in April 2004. Evaluation and selection will be made based on minimum requirements as follows: (1) Five years of experience in providing community organizing/mobilizing training and technical assistance regarding IP-DV to practitioners from a variety of fields; (2) Documented development of community organizing/mobilizing materials, manuals, guides and websites; (3) Previous experience in using research, evaluation, and behavior change theories in program development; (4) Previous experience in developing user-friendly program materials for practitioners; and (5) Knowledge and experience with public health perspectives on prevention of IP-DV. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less then $100,000. The entire scope of work, requirements and evaluation factors are addressed in the solicitation This procurement is being issued unrestricted.
