- Description
- This is a synopsis for engineering services. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase engineering services on a Sole Source basis from Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Inc. This procurement is highly specialized, critical and essential subject matter expertise to perform studies, analysis, tradeoffs, requirement analysis, design, development, test, certification and documentation and/or enhance existing combat system interface simulation, test and analysis systems associated with combat system development, parts depot support and life-cycle engineering support. In addition, the contractor shall procure, install and operate simulation systems and test equipment at the various Land Based Test Sites and / or shipyards. These services and systems will primarily be used at the Aegis Computer Center, Aegis Training and Readiness Center, Surfac e Combat System Center, Combat System Engineering Development Site, Naval System Computer Center and the Navy Shipyards in Bath, MN and Pascagoula, MS. The contract will be awarded as a Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract for a period of one year basic with four, one-year options. The estimated level of effort is 78 man-years per year. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on 09 September 2003. The anticipated closing date will be 10 October 2003. This solicitation is follow-on to contract N00024-99-C-5105 with Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Inc. The synopsis number is N00178-03-R-2028. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541330 (Engineering Services). Note 22 applies.
