Description
Solicitation H94003-04-R-4002 is issued as a Request for Proposal. This requirement is for a Focused Ion Beam (FIB) Dual beam controlled by Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional operating system and accompanying graphical user interface (GUI); Software to capture and archive Dual-Beam FIB images to hard drives; LAN interface; Dual 18” or larger flat panel TFT/LCD displays; Native GUI file saving shall provide for file name length of twenty characters or greater; Manual user interface unit with knobs for magnification, focus, contrast, brightness, X and Y beam shift and stigmation; Automation software including electron and ion optics control, image recognition and automated TEM sample preparation; 200V to 32kV electon optics with thermally assisted Schottky field emitter source; Electron optics beam current up to at least 20nA, beam and gun tilt setup parameters with non-volatile storage of each setup, beam wobble for aperture centering, and resolution of 1nm or better at 15KV, 2.5nm or better at 1KV; 5kV to 30kV ion optics with liquid gallium ion emitter source, Ion optics beam current up to at least 20nA in defined steps, beam and gun tilt setup parameters with non-volatile storage of each setup, beam wobble for aperture centering, and resolustion of 7nm or better at 30KV; Computer controlled digital line scanning with multi-frame display and multiple scan resolutions from 512x442 (or less) to 3072x2304 (or greater). There is a Trade-In item listed in the solicitation for a Strata 201. Includes a 12 month complete warranty plus and extended warranty period for an additional 24 months. See the solicitaiton for a complete descriptions. The NAICS code is 334519 and the size standard for this requirement is 500 employees.
