- Description
- The General Services Administration is requesting proposals from electric generation suppliers to provide electric power supply to various Federal and non-Federal facilities in the State of Maryland in the PEPCO service territory. The successful offeror will supply electricity and transmission for a contract term of seven (7) months beginning with the July 2004 meter read. An extension period of up to two (2) months is available. The approximate seven (7) month electric requirement for 19 accounts is 295,000,000 kWh with 85 MW of peak demand. Interval data will be posted via amendment to the solicitation. The Government will be asking for a single rate schedule price to apply to all accounts. The procurement method will be a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with Part 12 (Commercial Item) of the FAR. This announcement constitutes the presolicitation notice and the synopsis. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror that offers the lowest price for all accounts and meets the solicitation's minimum technical requirements. Supplier technical responses to the solicitation are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on March 10, 2004 at the GSA Bid Room (see solicitation for address). Pricing will be submitted in accordance with the solicitation on March 17, 2004 no later than 8 a.m. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis.
