Description
The Maritime Administration is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources that currently possess the expertise, capabilities and experience necessary to meet this agency's requirement for Spare Parts Procurement for it's Ready Reserve Fleet (RRF) vessels. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not reimburse any contractor for any costs incurred as a result of participation is this survey and participation may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the resulting solicitation. The information provided will aid in the development of the procurement strategy for these requirements. Currently, this requirement is being satisfied by a small, disadvantaged business under contract DTMA91-97-C-00005 which expires July 2005 and it is anticipated that solicitation will be issued during the 2004 calendar year. This survey will also aid in the determination of set-sides, if any. Also, it is intended that the resultant contract will be performance-based; therefore, provided at this time is a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) which will be converted to a Performance Work Statement (PWS) by the time the solicitation is issued. Interested small business concerns are invited to provide comments on the SOW, as well as, provide possible performance measurements. Interested companies should send an e-mail no later than March 3, 2004 to Acquisitions.marad@marad.dot.gov with Spare Parts Procurement ? Re-compete in the subject line. All valid e-mail responses from prospective sources must provide the return e-mail address, company name, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, and point of contact within the body of their response. In addition to a brief capability statement, please provide a list of customers within the past 5-years highlighting work performed similar in skill, scope and magnitude, including contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, a brief description of work performed, and a point of contract with phone number. ALL RESPONDENTS MUST RESPOND TO THIS SYNOSIS VIA THE E-MAIL ADDRESS GIVE ABOVE. NEITHER TELEPHONE REQUESTS NOR FAXED RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
