Description

** This modification contains minor changes to the previous notice. ** The Federal Bureau of Prisons-Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to award a contract for the provision of comprehensive medical services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution Terminal Island, located in San Pedro, California. It is the intent of the Government to make a single award to an offeror who can provide all deliverables to include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and on-site institution services. Offerors are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals providing all listed requirements. Offerors who propose less will be evaluated accordingly. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm fixed unit prices. The contract term shall consist of a base period extending from the date of award through 12 months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The estimated quantities for these periods are as follows: Base Year -150 Inpatient Days and 500 outpatient visits; Option Year 1 - 150 Inpatient Days and 500 outpatient visits; Option Year 2 - 150 Inpatient Days and 500 outpatient visits; Option Year 3 - 150 Inpatient Days and 500 outpatient visits; Option Year 4 - 150 Inpatient Days and 500 outpatient visits. Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 5, 2004, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about April 15, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
