Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W911RZ-04-T-0022 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effec t through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-19. The proposed purchase order will be unrestricted. The NAICS code is 532120, size standard $18.5M. Responses should be quoted in accordance with the following: Clin 0001, Lease of two 25’ box trucks for a p eriod of 120 days. Trucks must be equipped with a loading ramp. Trucks leased will include unlimited mileage. Government agrees to use trucks in local Ft Carson, Colorado Springs area only. Contractor agrees to provide clean vehicles, filled with fuel. Government agrees to provide 1st echelon maintenance only (i.e. gas, oil check, anti-freeze); return of vehicles spray washed, vacuumed and filled with fuel. The Government will provide licensed drivers and will comply with all state and local transportati on laws. In the event the vehicles are not returned filled with fuel, the contractor will charge the market value per gallon of fuel. Contractor agrees to perform all maintenance needed on vehicles. Contractor mechanical roadside assistance shall be avail able during normal business hours. Contractor shall indicate daily, weekly and monthly rates. Quantity 2; Unit of Issue Each. Required delivery date: 2 March 2004 to 29 June 2004. Vehicles shall be delivered to 3rd BCT, 4th ID Bldg. 1853, Fort Carson, Co 80913. The following provision in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) applies to this acquisition to include any addenda to the provision - FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference with th e same force and effect as if they were in full text. Offerors are required to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offero r Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition. FAR 52.222-21 Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; FAR 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; FAR 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Ve terans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Fund Transfer-Central Contractor Registration; FAR 52.232-36 Payment by Third Party; FAR 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. Additionally, the fo llowing clauses are applicable to this acquisition - FAR 52.208-4 Vehicle Lease Payments, FAR 52.208-5 Conditions of Leased Vehicles, FAR 52.208-6 Markings of Leased Vehicles, FAR 52.208-7 Tagging of Leased Vehicles, FAR 52.228-8 Liability and Insurance fo r Leased Motor Vehicles, FAR 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference, DFARS 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program, DFARS 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to De fense Acquisitions of Commercial Items.
