- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service, Region 9, Hawaii Area Office, intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed-price, commercial contract to L-3 Communications Corporation, 1 Federal Street, Camden, New Jersey, for the acquisition of OMNI xi Secure Telecommunication Terminals with one year warranty, and warranties for four additional years over the manufacturer-provided one year warranty. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Companies who can provide the above listed proprietary device must indicate their interest in writing no later than February 26, 2004, 2:00 PM HST. Estimated date of award is February 26, 2004, 2:01 PM HST. All responsible sources will be considered for evaluating the determination to issue a sole source contract. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 01-19. Provide a price for each of the following items: CLIN 0001: OMNI xi Secure Telecommunication Terminals with one year warranty, quantity 23, CLIN 0002: Four year extended warranty, quantity 23. FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-4, and FAR 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2 does not apply to this sole source acquisition. The following additional FAR clauses apply: 52.203-6, 52-203-6 Alt I, 52.222-26, and 52.232-33. The following additional DFARS clauses apply: 252.212-7001, 252.204-7004, 252.227-7015, 252.227-7037, and 252.243-7002.
