- Description
- The St. Paul District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is contemplating the solicitation and award of a firm-fixed-price contract for work to be performed on Mississippi River locks 2 and 5. Work will consists of the following major features: dem olition, concrete/reinforcement to accommodate bulkhead slots; fabrication/installation of bulkhead slots and covers; fabrication of new anchor bars and anchorages; miter gate adjustment; and minor electrical alterations. The Government is considering var ious acquisition strategies and anticipates awarding one contract for Lock 2 at a minimum, and possibly Lock 5. The Government will host a conference March 4, 2004, at 1 p.m. in Fountain City, WI, to gather information from potential offerors. The inform ation gathered from this RFI will assist in the development of a future request for proposal. Information submitted in response to this RFI will become the property of the Government. The Government will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisit ion alternative as a result of this RFI. The Government will not pay for information provided, and is not liable for any costs incurred by companies in response to this RFI.
