- Description
- SCOPE: A. Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work required to overlay new "EPDM Roofing Membrane between Column lines 6-13, 21-23 at the United States Government Printing Office Building # 3, 732 North Capitol Street NW Washington D.C. 20401. 1. Contract Drawing: D-5400, sheet 1 of 1. WORK SEQUENCE: The work will be conducted in such a manner to provide the least possible interference to the activities of the Government's personnel and to cause no damage to the government property. 1. Dispose of all removed material off of government property at no extra cost to the government. Remove existing roof drains, cant strips, wooden nailers and clean the reglets. 2. Furnish and install new single ply membrane EPDM on existing roofing material, cant strips, wooden nailers, flashing and roof drain covers as required. Caulk and seal around roof protrusions, vent pipes, reglets and replace the existing flashing with new flashing. Work Schedule: Inasmuch as this installation observes a 5-day, 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, the contractor shall schedule his working hours to coincide with the working hours of GPO (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). All bidders must attend the walk through of the site, and at that time drawing no.D-5400 will be issued. To obtain a copy of the solicitation, download from this site. It is the bidder's responsibility for downloading their own copy of this solicitation. Bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any). The Project consists of the following work items: Remove the existing concrete sidewalk blocks and existing ballast/stones to facilitate the installation of new single ply roofing as stated.. Part 1.2.A.3 shall read: 3. Install New EPDMmembrance, re-spread existing removed ballast/stones and replace existing concrete sidewalk blocks.
