Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal Services for the Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, California. Services will be performed in a facility which houses individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract term shall consist of a base period from the date of award through 12 months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide services which include, but are not limited to the following: provide all labor and equipment, transportation, and supervision to collect, transport and dispose of solid waste, trash or refuse to an approved landfill. The contractor will also provide two (2) 34 cubic yard compactors, one (1) 40 cubic yard container, two (2) 4 cubic yard containers and one “will-call” 40 cubic yard container. The solicitation will be made available on or about August 22, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations’s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizzopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 19, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
