Description
Installation of and repairs to erosion control practices at 4 sites at Fort Jackson, SC: Work includes the berm repairs, and the construction of diversions, broad based dips, and cellular block lined waterways. Major items of work include:Seeding-16 acres;Erosion Control Blanket-17,000 SY;Supplemental Fertilizer-8.75 Tons; Earthfill-1800 CY; Cr-14 Rockfill-2600 Tons; Waterways-2300 LF; Aluminum Pipe-290 LF; 1-Aluminum Box Culvert With Headwalls; Articulating Concrete Block Mats-7100 SF; Riprap- 450 Tons; Topsoil-480 Tons. Performance time is 95 calendar days. The estimated price is within the range of $100,000 to $250,000. The solicitation will be subject to full and open competition with a price preference for qualifying small, disadvantaged businesses and small, HUBZone businesses. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about March 5, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid conference and site showing on March 18, 2004. The conference will begin at 9:00 A.M. in Building 2562, Directorate of Logistics and Engineering, located at the intersection of Engineer Road and Essayons Way. All persons planning to attend the pre-bid conference will be required to enter the installation at Gate #2, Forest Drive (Exit 12 off I-77). Upon arriving at the security checkpoint, you will be diverted through the far right hand lane. You will be asked to present a driver's license or other photo identification for each occupant and a vehicle registration. You will be issued a temporary pass at that time. All vehicles are subject to search. Firearms will not be permitted. If you are asked the purpose of your visit, advise that you are going to the Engineering Office for a contract site showing. Directions to pre-bid meeting: Take I-77 to Forest Drive (Exit 12). Travel east on Forest Drive approximately 1 / 4 mile to Fort Jackson, Gate #2. Obtain temporary pass. Upon entering Gate #2, continue on Strom Thurmond Blvd. (same street as Forest Drive) to the 3rd traffic light. Turn right on Marion Avenue (at hospital). Travel approximately 1 / 4 mile past the 2nd traffic light and turn left on Engineer Road. Travel two short blocks to the end of Engineer Road. Building 2562 will be on your right. Park in any unreserved space outside the fenced enclosure.
