Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport RI intends to award a contract with firm fixed price provisions under FAR parts 12 and 13 procedures (commercial items; simplified acquisition procedures), for a multi-channel potentiostat/galvanostat. Quantity of 1. Award to be made to the responsible offeror proposing the lowest price. Anticipated RFQ date is: 26 FEB 2004. Unrestricted. Specifications: Minimum of eight independent potentiostat/galvanostat channels; Independent potential and current control on each channel with simultaneous current and voltage measurement; capable of 2,3, 4 or 5 terminal measurements on each channel; Configure as N-stat with one counter and one reference electrode with multiple working electrodes; 2 auxiliary inputs on each channel with programmable ranges of plus/minus 2.5 V, plus/minus 5 V, and plus/minus 10 V; TTL signal in and out to enable experiments to coordinate precisely with other instrumentation; Data buffer retains data even if PC is disconnected; Automatic current ranging from 10 microA to 5 A (with power booster) on at least four channels; Impedance measurement capability on each channel capable of executing a 40 data point experiment between 100 kHz and 0.1 Hz in less than 90 seconds; 20 V compliance with programmable ground on each channel; Autocalibration for each channel; Data acquisition system including all hardware and software necessary to control the potentiostat/galvanostat, acquire the data from the instrument, and analyze the experimental data; Full suite of electrochemical experiments including: Open circuit voltage measurement; Chronoamperometry/Chronocoulometry with multiple potential steps within the same experiment; -Chronopotentiometry with 9999 current steps where voltage and charge cutoffs signal next step; Cyclic voltammetry; Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy with analysis (equivalent circuit) software; Galvanostatic cycling with potential limitation; Differential pulse voltammetry; Battery (galvanostatic cycling with potential limitation and potentiodynamic cycling with galvanostatic acceleration); Manual control of current and potential; Modular potentiostatic and galvanostatic experiments which allow the user to perform potentiostatic/ potentiodynamic or galvanostatic/galvanodynamic, respectively, within a single experiment; Graphics capability including monitoring of experiments in progress; User- friendly, windows based software package that does not require training for an experienced electrochemist; Cell control: 20V range adjustable from plus/minus 10V or 0 - 20 V; Maximum potential resolution 300 microV on 20 V dynamic range, programmable down to 3 microV on 200 mV dynamic range; Maximum current resolution: 0.004 % of the dynamic range, programmable down to 15 pA on 10 microA range; Accuracy (DC): < 0.1% FSR; Rise time: < 2 microS (no load); Slew rate: > 3V/microS (no load); Current measurement and control: Converter: 16 bits ADC; Ranges: plus/minus 10 microA, plus/minus 100 microA, plus/minus 1 mA, plus/minus 10 mA, plus/minus 100 mA, plus/minus 250 mA, up to 5 A with power booster; Maximum resolution: 0.004 % of the range, down to 763 pA; Acquisition speed: 10,000 samples/second on each channel; and, Accuracy (DC) < 0.1 % full scale range; Potential measurement: Converters: 16 bits ADC; Ranges: plus/minus 2.5 V, plus/minus 5 V, plus/minus 10 V, plus/minus 10 V adjustable DC shift level; Maximum resolution: 0.0015 % of the range down to 75 microV; Acquisition speed: 200,000 samples / second; and, Accuracy (DC): < 0.1 % full scale range; Reference electrodes: Inputs: 3 potential measurement leads with 2 differential voltage measurements and Impedance: 1012 ohm in parallel with 20 pF; Impedance specifications: Frequency range: 10 microHz to 200kHz (minimum); Amplitude: Programmable from 1 mV to 1 V peak to peak; and, Accuracy < 1%; Additional inputs/outputs: Two general purpose analog inputs: 16 bits resolution with programmable range plus/minus 2.5 V, plus/minus 5 V, plus/minus 10 V; and One external security input to Open Circuit: TTL level; 2 amp minimum average channel output and at least 4 A per channel on each of 4 different channels; Switchable from potentiostatic to galvanostatic control in 10 microS.
