- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts (M/CON), has a requirement for a Contractor to provide materials, fabrication, and installation services for working prototype for General Electric 250 kW shortwave transmitters' 2nd Intermediate Power Amplifier and Final Power Amplifier tuning assemblies located at its Greenville Transmitting Station located in North Carolina. The Contractor shall be required to provide all necessary labor, supervision, machinery, equipment, materials, and all other miscellaneous items required to perform the work. The proposed period of performance of this work requires completion within six (6) months from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall conduct a visit of the Greenville, North Carolina Transmitting Station. The Contractor's failure to conduct a site visit shall not be the basis for a later claim. The BBG intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for this negotiated firm-fixed-price procurement in June 2004, with a proposal response date of 30 days after release. Please reference Solicitation No. BBGCON3604S5430 on all correspondence regarding this notice. All written requests for copies of the RFP must include your company name, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile number. No telephone requests for this RFP will be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. This FBO notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
