- Description
- This solicitation is for small business set-aside. NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the repair and realignment of a custom made Microwave Interferometer. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the services of Millitech, Inc on a sole source basis. The microwave interferometer was designed and built by Millitech, Inc. especially for Marshall Space Flight Center, and uses custom components proprietary only to Millitech. The required repairs and realignments are as listed. 1. Repair of MXP-10, MXP-15, & MSH-06 mixers. 2. Repair of 2- AMC-15 Active Mulitpliers. 3. Replacement of 2 AMC-10 Active Multipliers (failed) with new generation AMC-10 products. 4. Replacement of (minimum) coaxial power divider. 5. Complete system repair, test, tune, and alignment. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via e-mail to: Janet Appleton, Eagle Systems and Services, Inc. @ janet.appleton@msfc.nasa.gov, or fax: 256-544-6062 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 3-1-2004. Such capabilities/ qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
