Description
NAICS Code: 541620&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspIn accordance with FAR Part 12 Simplified Procedures, the U.S. EPA ORD requires preparation of a Technical Report on the Status of Arsenic Removal Technology. The contractor shall develop a technical report on the treatment technology that has been and is currently being&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsputilized by water systems to remove arsenic from drinking water.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe Agency will use the information contained in this report as a base line on which to gauge the overall impact and effectiveness of the EPA arsenic demonstration program and the future selection of treatment technology by small&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspsystems to comply with the revised arsenic MCL.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe technical report shall provide information on the current status of the treatment technology (in selected States) used to remove arsenic from drinking water.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspConsidering the regional factor of the arsenic problem and EPA demonstration programs,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspthe information and data to produce the technical report shall be based on the following nine States:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspArizona, California, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Texas.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInformation and data shall be collected from direct contact with the appropriate personnel, reports,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspliterature or other methods and shall be well documented. The Contractor shall complete the report within seven (9) months of Purchase Order award date.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis procurement is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 541620 with a size standard of $6,000,000.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAward will be made using "Best&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspValue" evaluation criteria.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAll responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAny firm believing itself capable of providing the required technical report must request a copy of the RFQ in writing within fifteen (15) days of electronic posting of this notice.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspRequests should be submitted in writing to Scott Tharp via Fax (513) 487-2109 or email Tharp.Scott@epa.gov.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTelephone responses will not be honored.
