- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.    This notice constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.    Solicitation No. W31P4Q-04-Q- 0163 is being issued as a request for quote.    The solicitation documented and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15; This requirement is for eleven (11) each commercially available Z-Microsystems 4-Slice Multiple Processor Units (MPUs) modified into 7-Slice MPUs and associated ancillary devices, components, and accessories identified below:    The basic C LIN 0001 is for services required to develop and implement the modification of Z-Microsystems?????? Multiple Processor Unit, performance of tests required to verify that the modified MPU meets the government??????s requirements, 4 each MPUs and 16 ea Hard Drives to be delivered in support of testing.    The MPUs services will be completed and 2 each MPUs will be delivered by 2 April 04 with the balance of 2 each MPUs to be delivered by 2 May 04). Option CLIN 0002 is for 5 each MPU. Option CLIN 0003 is for the    development and conduct of operator and maintainer training. Option 0003 is for 2 ea MPUs, 14 ea Hard Drives, and 5 ea transit cases. Option deliveries are 90 days after award of the option. Option(s) may be exercised any time after acceptance of CLIN 000 1 through the end of FY04. CLINs 0002-0004 ship to address is:    Commander, US Army AMCOM Transportation Officer, Bldg.80 22, Redstone Arsenal, AL    35898, ATTN:    Chuck Eberly Phone Number 256-313-0614.    The initial inspection is at origin with final inspection and acceptance at destination.    Packaging and shipping will be best commercial.    Justification for other than full an d open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources.    All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency.    Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 14 49 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award.    Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ??? ??? Commercial; Clause 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications ?????? Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ?????? Commercial Items; and      Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes o r Executive Orders ??????
