Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS)plans to acqire a Commercial Items Acquisition of a Narrowband Land Mobile Radio System that will comply with the new FCC Narrowband Mandate and VHA's Master Two-Way Radio Telecommunications Specifications Section 16735. All interested parties are encouraged to contact the Contracting Officer at 254-743-2112 for information. No proposals will be accepted at this time. A pre-proposal conference (question & answer session) will be held prior to release of the solicitation package. The system shall provide subscriber unit coverage (indoor & outdoor), single, integrated repeater-based communicatinos system for all designated CTVHCS personnel at the CTVHCS facilities located at Temple, Waco, & Marlin, Texas. A "Turn-Key" package will be procured consisting of the system design, equipment, services, testing, planning, and installation. The system shall be compatable with the newly installed Narrowband Paging System for the CTVHCS. The digital LMR Network shall provide coverage for the CTVHCS hospitals and clinical facilities, surrounding public safety agencies an civilian hospitals in surrounding counties. This IS NOT a small business set-aside.
