Description

Six (6) Heavy standard or restricted category type l helitanker helicopters. Helicopters shall be equipped with fixed Suppressant/Retardant delivery tank.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspFixed tank systems proposed for use under this solicitation shall meet the requirements of the Interagency Air Tanker Board (IATB) and shall be in compliance with the IATB approval procedures at least 45 days before start of the availability period.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspPrimary use is for fire fighting.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspAircraft will be based at the following locations:<BR> (1) Prescott, AZ, estimated contract period from April 15, 2004 through July 13, 2004; <BR> (2) Ely, MN,&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspestimated contract period from May 17, 2004 through June 15, 2004; <BR> &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspLakewood, CO estimated contract period from June 16, 2004 through August 17, 2004:<BR> (3) San Bernardino, CA, estimated contract period from July 15, 2004&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspthrough October 12, 2004;<BR> (4) Hemet, CA, estimated contract period from July 15, 2004 through October 15, 2004.<BR> (5) Van Nuys, CA, estimated contract period from July 15, 2004 through October 12, 2004.<BR> (6) La Grande, OR, estimated contract period from July 15, 2004 through October 12, 2004.<BR> <BR> Contract duration for all items is one year from date of award, with the possibility of two -- one-year renewal periods.
