Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, HSCG81-04-Q-YT073, is issued as an unrestricted request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-18. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions are available via internet address: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 1 ? Lodging; 60 Double-Occupancy Rooms, for 28 days, from May 02, 2004 (check in day) through May 30, 2004 (check out day).&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspContract Line Item 2 ? Lodging; 20 Single-Occupancy Rooms, for 28 days, from May 02, 2004 (check in day) through May 30, 2004. Contract Line Item 3 ? One (01) Conference Room, for 3 days, from May 03, 2004 through May 05, 2004 from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day. The conference room shall be arranged with chairs to accommodate 120 people, and equipped with a computer, a projector (Proxima), ethernet access, a screen, a podium, and a computer connection. One location for all three contract line items is preferred. However, lodging/rooms at multiple locations may be considered. For multiple locations, number and occupancy-type of rooms must be specified. Rooms shall be furnished with linens, housekeeping, local telephone, cable T.V. services, and parking. The geographic location for consideration is limited to facilities located within one (01) mile from the U S Coast Guard Atlantic Area Office (LANTAREA) located at 431 Crawford St, Portsmouth, VA&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp23704. Proposals shall include the address and distance (mileage) of the lodging facility to LANTAREA, available amenities, check-in/out-times and cancellation policy. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation, to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is the most advantageous to the Government, price, past performance, quality and other factors considered.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspOFFERS will only be considered from Offerors who ARE COMPLIANT WITH THE HOTEL AND MOTEL FIRE SAFETY ACT OF 1990. OFFEROR SHALL INCLUDE THE LODGING FACILITY FEMA NUMBER, WHICH IS REGISTERED WITH THE U. S. FIRE ADMINISTRATION. All offers will be evaluated in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures, FAR Subpart 13.106. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items (March 2001) and 52.215-5, Facsimile Proposals (Oct 1997), apply to this solicitation. The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items (May 2001), must be completed and submitted with the RFQ.
